I just got back from buying fireworks with my dad. I spent a total of $103.67 on things that will self destruct after a few seconds of play. I usually do not spend this much on fireworks but with my job and money for good grades i figured i could get away with it this time. I bought a huge artillery shell set, some water dynamite, bottle rockets, roman candles, ect. I don't understand why i do this every year. I love fireworks and i spend too much money on them every single year. I don't know what about things exploding that attracts me. I also love to see glass brake.

I realized why i am not getting very many comments. on my settings i had chosen to only allow members to comment. i fixed that and now anyone is welcome to add a comment every now and then to my blog

no strings attached

This is my first post on my new laptop. We got it all set up and i have been spending the day transferring all of my music from my desktop to my notebook without any wires or using a cd. This is really cool how i can pull up any file from my desktop on my notebook from anywhere in the house.

the mormons are coming

Today i got a visit from two mormons on bicycle. I'm always willing to talk to someone who believes something different than what i do and i thought it would be interesting to find out what they believe. They asked if i ever heard the beliefs of their church and i told them that i hadn't in an inviting way. Then they asked if my family was home. i told them that my brother was asleep and my mom wasn't home. They asked if i minded them coming inside and sitting down and talking. I told them i couldn't let them in but i wouldn't mind talking outside but i had a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. They told me that it was better if i heard it with my family and that they would come back at another time. i shook their hands and they gave me a track. On the track it has a picture of a husband and wife and says "happiness is possible" call...
I don't understand why they wouldn't take this opportunity to evangilize to me. I would have jumped at a teenager saying he had never heard the gospel and was willing to talk to me about it. I got to thinkin and thought that maybe the Holy Spirit chased them away. Like maybe they felt something and knew they needed to get out. How cool would that be if w/e is in them recognized that i had the King of kings in me and knew they had to get away from me. Kinda like when the demon that possessed the man bowed down to Jesus.

All i want for CHRISTmas is you

I had a great CHRISTmas. I spent time with my mom, dad, brother, grandparents on both sides, and, my personal favorite, girlfriend. this year for a change my brother woke me up. for the past 13 years i have gone into his room yelling "IT'S CHRISTMAS IT'S CHRISTMAS GETUP" however i have reached the age where sleeping late is more important than receiving presents as early as possible. We went to my grandmother's house for a small breakfast and gift exchanges. I racked up this year! I got a laptop, a few cd's, a suit case, an ornament, and a check for $250 for good grades. our gift to her however never came in the mail :(
after hanging out there for a short time my brother and i drove out to my dad's house and had boudin, hog head cheese and venison sausage. i got a neon sign, a huge recipe book, some fishing lures, and some new roller blades. We hung around for awhile, i won the family ping pong tourney, and then cooked oyster poboys.
After i got home i went over to robyn's house for a few hours and we watched napoleon dynamite which gets funnier and funnier everytime i see it

Let it Snow let it snow let it snow

today is CHRISTmas eve and it is snowing outside. I went to the mall to buy some last minute presents and went to talk to the salesmen who sold me the space panther. After i explain my situation and found out i couldn't return it the guy gave me a free one. i didn't have my old one or anything, he just gave me one. I thought this was really cool and it hasn't broke yet!
Tonight i have my annual CHRISTmas eve party at my grandmother's. I usually cook everything but this year driver's ed stopped me. I really like to cook.
at driver's ed we watched a movie called "Red Asphalt" It is a movie put that was put together to make 15 year olds who just finished eating taco bell throw up. There was nothing put videos of crash scenes. We saw brains being scooped off of the street, the bottom jaw of a child ripped off, and a backbone ripped halfway out of an old lady. I don't understand why they would show us this. Is it really necessary to make three students throw up?
On a lighter note about driver's ed i went to taco bell before and ordered 6 tacos to last me throughout the day. The guy gave me twelve!

This blogging thing gets harder when school is out. It was one of my escapes from doing my homework and now that i don't have homework i really don't feel like writing.
This year my family was not planning on having a CHRISTmas tree because my mom was in the hospital havin surgery and we just didn't have time to do it. My brother's girlfriend found out we would 't have one so she bought a tree, broke into our house, and decorated the tree while my brother and i were at the mall.

Space Panther

Yesterday i bought the coolest toy ever made. It is called the Space Panther, the name is lame but this thing is awesome. My brother riley and i saw a man playing with one in the mall. It is a foam dome with arches connecting the top and bottom. Inside this open dome there is a fan. When you pull the trigger on a remote that comes with it the fan starts turning and the Space Panther rises. Of course i bought one instantly. I played with it for at least three hours last night and about 4 today untill it just stopped. You can never trust a cheap flying saucer sold to you by a foreigner. I tried everything the owner's manuel said but it still will not work. My brother bought a Space Panther at the same time i did and three hours after mine stopped his started melting while it was plugged into the charger. Tomorrow we will go to the place where we bought it and attempt to get two more free.

Nicaragua flashbacks

I've been having a lot more Nicaragua flashbacks this week than i usually do. I really miss the place and i feel like that is where i need to be. God is using me here but it just doesn't feel right, i don't feel at home here. As much as i love the States, my friends and Parkview i'm so homesick, i don't think i can wait until next august to only go back for a short week. I've been speaking spanish more than i have english lately and this is starting to scare me. i feel that God wants me in that country now but the world is holding me back. I'm not sure how old i need to be before Parkview will be willing to send me their for the summer but i hope i'll be able to in the next few years. I set my background as a picture i took of the city of diriamba from about a half a mile away... this is bad, i just spent an entire blog whining about how i miss Nicaragua

It's beginning to look a lot like CHRISTmas

I would like to apologize for not blogging the past few days. Exams are tomorrow and i have been too busy with my homework to blog.
This weekend i decorated my grandmother's CHRISTmas tree. My family has a tradition of passing out ornaments to signify something that happened during the year. my grandmother has about 50 ornaments that have stories behind them and she must explain every single one in detail before she hands them to me to put on the tree. It is funny at first because the actual ornament has nothing to do with the story behind it. One of the ornaments is a mouse with a yellow flower around it, my grandmother gave it to my aunt because she was a golden girl at lsu. after awhile the story telling gets very boring and repetitive because this is my 15th year to do this and i can tell you what every ornament means. I don't want to ruin her fun but she turns something that should last an hour into a four hour ordeal. luckily this year she was busy helping my mom cook and we finished with only about 20 stories told.

All pig go to heaven, cept the ones that the deamons were driven into

Today i was forced to say goodbye to my fetal pig peteie. After taking out his liver, stomach, pancreas, large and small intestines, heart, cutting them all open, dissecting the brain, putting everything back in, and trying cpr to rescue peteie i was forced to put him into a box with all the other mutilated animals. this departue was much harder than my frog henry and my fish blue. Peteie was much easier to cut and his organs were bigger so i grew very attatched to him. I remember the time i cut his tongue off trying to reach his saliva glands and he didn't even get mad at me. Peteie was a good pig and will be missed very much by all.
On a more important note i have failed to study for exams for the third night in a row. this will come back to haunt me next week but there is so much other stuff to do. I find myself listening to music, watchin tv, writing blogs, playing online games just to avoid starting my study guides. i have gotten to be very good at procrastinating now that i am in highschool.

Talk to me

I got a new phone this weekend. I was convicned that nokia made the best phones period. Nokias were always more user friendly, had better ring tones, better games, and held battery power longer. My new phone is a motorola flip phone. it has a camera and can download some pretty cool songs. I have discovered that this phone can receive actually music, not just the notes of a song in another key. I must say that I love my new phone. i miss my old nokia but this one is much better. mainly because it is a flip phone, i love flip phones. i have noticed that the flip phones never break. i've seen people drop them in their drink and it's fine where nokia's buttons will stop working if you drop it on the ground more than once. the past three phones i have had were the same time but they broke about once every 6 months so i think it's time to move on to a more durable model.

Second Thoughts

I'm at the point in my bloggin career where i'm not sure if my blog is even being read. Is there point to my blog? is anyone out there? i could simply ask for people to post comments but that sounds too desperate.
On another note i have a concert tonight for my school choir. I really don't want to go because that would mean i have to miss church. I enjoy Sunday night too much to just miss it because my choir teacher can't schedule it on a weeknight. The theme of our CHRISTmas concert is dona nobis pacem, i think that means grant us peace but i'm not sure. We have a jewish kid in our choir and my teacher picked him to sing a song about Jesus returning. I thought this was funny and i'm going to laugh to myself for a little while.

Missing Bird

Last night before i went to sleep as i walked into my room i discovered a pile of feathers in my room. my first fear was that my dog had split one of my pillows but further investigation revealed that that was not the case. I followed the trail of feathers and found it started at the dog door. My dog had been notorious for catching animals and bringing them into the house. This summer she dug up two moles and brought them to my mom's bed to eat. A few months later we found pieces of a crow throughout a week. We have not located the carcass of the animal yet but i'm pretty sure it is somewhere in my mom's bed room because that is where most of the feathers are. This is very strange because we usually find pieces of the animal throughout the house like last year we found a foot of a squirrel. I am very impressed at my dogs ability to hunt and it doesn't bother me as long as Roxie continues to bring them to my Mom's room.

15 Candles

Today was my birthday!!! I met my dad at Phil's for a birthday supper. I am getting a laptop for my birthday and for CHRISTmas from my dad, mom, and grandmother. Each of them bought me a small gift because they didn't want me to not get anything on my birthday. My mom got me some gift certificates, my grandmother got me a suit case for nicaragua and my dad... well my dad is very absent minded. During the summer i went to the mall with him and bought a national championship poster from the advocate booth. i left it at his house and never saw it again, until today. As i unwrapped the newly framed poster i had purchased 4 months before i could hardly contain my laughter. I acted very surprised and said that i've wanted one of these for awhile. of course i thanked him and didn't tell him that it was my poster that he had given me. I think it's funny and i really don't mind the fact that he forgot. I could see him finding it and trying to remember when and why he bought it and then deciding he bought it for me.
